Frustrating Sunday

The lyrics didn't lend themselves obviously to chords.... which frustrated me.... but maybe they will on another day.

We had a 5SOF practice, but Fraser didn't show up, so it was just me and Javier. We had some good fun jamming, but we cut it short and I'm home getting organised for a week of work. 

Mixed Tracks

Now that my hi-fi is fixed, I can mix on something other than headphones again.

I rough-mixed Sandra's tracks from yesterday and made mp3 of the ideas we recorded. I'll give the mixes a second listen before sharing them with anyone.

I finished some scribbled lyrics Kenneth and I had started on some of our Eastern European adventures.

Productive friday off

I had a writing and recording session with Sandra today.... we worked on 2 songs and got some rough chord structures for lyrics. I wasn't in the most creative of moods..... We got much more done recording Sandra's songs. We did takes of 4 songs.

 

 

 

DVD Night

Sandra stayed last night so that we can make an early start on working on some songs... We watched some music films... The Commitment and Almost Famous.

New Blog

I enjoy writing loads about travels and music and all sorts, but it takes up a lot of time and it;s not the best use of that time.

I'm going to start using the blog to chart my progress. The major source of stress and anxiety in my life is a feeling of lack of productivity in my music activities... so to remind myself that I'm getting some stuff done, I'm going to use the blog as a kind of online diary...... let's hope that if I start small I can keep it regular....

Furstrations lifted

after a bit of communication the frustrations of yesterday have lifted... problems are never as bad as you think they are.

There's a few changes to my roster of bands... more to come.
